Pforzheim, Germany, 14th October 2019:
Monday was kind of a get-to-know and information day for our Erasmus+ Project in Germany. When all students and teachers arrived, we started by just walking around and introducing ourselves and talking to other stundents. After a quick overview of the program for the week, the principal arrived and welcomed all people who took part at Erasmus+ Germany. Everyone was pretty excited and curious how the week would be but we all knew, it would be an unforgettable experience. Then it was time for the presentations the different countries made. Spain started with an interesting presentation about Spanish legends, followed by Poland and Sweden with typical polish and swedish fairytales. Italy told us about „Pinoccio“ and showed us a very funny movie the students had made by themselves. After that, we decided to make a little break. Our exchange students got to know „Pretzels“ and drank some tea. It continued with the presentations of the German students about German fairytales, like „Rapunzel“ and „Snow White“, and some places we would visit during the week. So when this long session of presentations ended we went downstairs to our cafeteria where we ate delicious pasta and talked to many different studenst. When the break ended we met again in one of our art rooms to create some masks of fairy tale caracters we would use during the week to make photos, loops and a short movie for our instagram account. For that we were seleceted in different groups with two german and two studenst from another country and got german fairy tales allocated. It was really funny to search together for ideas and to get to know more international students. At about 3 p.m. the mask workshop ended and we spend the rest of the day with our exchange partners. Many of us went in little groups and showed them a bit of Pforzheim, e.g. the „Wallberg“ which is a hill made out of all the debris of the 2nd world war and from where you can see the whole city of Pforzheim.

Blog about Tuesday, 15th October
The second day of Erasmus started with a meeting in the morning, where we had a guest:
Jürgen Hörstmann, coordinator of european relations of the Enzkreis.
It was really interesting to listen to his presentation about his work and experiences with projects like ours. He told us about his first trip with teenagers from all over Europe and encouraged us to keep on practicing english to be able to make such great experiences. Then we went of to Ludwigsburg, where our first fairy tale shooting for our instagram accounts took place. After an hour bus drive we arrived at the castle and started to make our characters from the fairy tale look like influencers. The pumpkin exhibition was a perfect backdrop to shoot some cool pictures. When every goup had finished their work, we met again and drove back to Pforzheim. We sang songs together in the bus and had fun. Our program for the day ended at 5pm when we arrived. We used the freetime with our exchange students to get some food or for a karaoke night. At home the german students worked on their instagram accounts and posted the pictures from the day. It was really nice day and we ́re looking forward to Wednesday.

16th of October
On Wednesday we met at the "Turnplatz" bus stop where we waited for the bus that would take us to the Neuenbürg Castle. We arrived at Neuenbürg and had to hike up a hill into the castle. There we divided into four groups, two german groups, Polish and Italians and Spanish with the Swedish. We went to see the 'Heart Of Stone' Tour within the castle. It told the story of a man and his greed. Then we gathered to our assigned groups that we established on Monday and proceeded to make Instagram boomerang loops with an influencer aspect to it. After the loops we went back to Pforzheim and had a two hours lunch break. We then met at the arts room 501 and discussed our movie clips for Thursday, we gathered Ideas and thoughts. Afterwards every country had a book or a fairy tale ready and read it to the foreign students of other countries, when everyone was done we packed our bags and went to spend free time in the families.

Maulbronn Monastery
If you are in Germany you will have to visit the UNESCO World heritage site, Maulbronn Monastery. So, we didn’t want to withhold this incredible experience from our guests.
We took our bus at 8:30 am from Turnplatz in Pforzheim. After only a half an hour in the bus we were arriving at Maulbronn. In our groups we started directly working on the first task. The challenge was it to create a short movie with IPads. It was up to us how, when and where our fairytale was acting in the movie, but we should also interact with some other fairytales. Some examples were a completely modern fairytale or a mixture of two fairytales. Everybody had great ideas and the Maulbronn Monastery was the perfect place to realize them. This took much more time than we expected but in the end every group had some great scenes to create the movies. Later we assembled on the courtyard again and got a ticket and an audio guide. Now everybody was free to experience this magical place himself. It was incredible to have the opportunity to discover the history behind the walls of the Maulbronn Monastery. After this wonderful morning we drove back to Pforzheim and had some free time to have lunch. At 2 pm we met again in the art room. Now the groups had time to finish editing the movies. Those who had finished were able to participate in a sport programm by Miss Fody. That was a lot of fun. At 4:30 pm the eventfully day ended and everybody had free time in the families.
